GLSEN’s Day of Silence is a student-led national event organized in thousands of schools, bringing awareness to the silencing effects of anti-LGBTQ name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. And it’s this Friday.

Like me, are you also a last-minute kind of person? Wondering how you can pull something together this week? Check out the handy Last-Minute Organizer’s Guide. I also recommend putting a reminder for next year that’ll remind you in early March about this annual April event. Should give you plenty of time to pull something together.

Day of Silence is the last of three major programs hosted by GLSEN every year: Ally Week is in late September, No Name-Calling Week is in January, and Day of Silence is in April.
